Cislunar infrastructure is a collection of artificial structures, infrastructure, and natural assets that exist in the space between Earth and the Moon. This region includes numerous important places and orbits around the Moon, ranging from low Earth orbit (LEO) to lunar orbit. Due to an increased interest in lunar exploration and production beyond Earth orbit, the cislunar infrastructures industry is fast expanding as a major part of the space economy. Government rules and finance have a huge impact on the market for cislunar infrastructure. However, cislunar legislation is a complex and important challenge that demands extensive thinking and discussion. There are presently no international laws or regulations in place to specifically control activity in cislunar space or on the Moon.
