Patanjali Yoga Sutras: A Timeless Guide to Inner Freedom

Introduction
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali stand as one of the most influential texts in the history of Indian philosophy and spiritual practice. Comprising either 195 or 196 aphorisms depending on the interpretation of scholars such as Sage Vyasa, Krishnamacharya, and B.K.S. Iyengar this work was compiled in India during the early centuries CE. Though rooted in much older yogic traditions, Patanjali’s compilation brought together diverse streams of thought, including Samkhya philosophy, Buddhist Teachings, and Vedic wisdom, into a coherent framework of yoga.
