Hola Mohalla: Punjab’s Unique Celebration of Holi
Hola Mohalla is one of the most vibrant and distinctive festivals celebrated in Punjab. Unlike the traditional Holi festivities marked by colors and playful revelry, Hola Mohalla carries a martial spirit and deep cultural significance. This week-long festival begins on the first day of the lunar month of Chett, usually in March, and is centered around Anandpur Sahib, where a grand annual fair is organized the day after Holi.
